Pursuing Unity Together
We, as the student ministries of Bethany Bible Church, are committed to support the mission of Christ, His church, the pastor, and the parents of our students. It is our desire that the truths taught through PAC reinforce the truths taught in the home and the Sunday worship service. In no way do we aim to exclude the students from the rest of the body, but we seek to accomplish the mission of the church through the intentional discipling of our students for the edification of the whole body.
Pursuing Christ
As our students grow and mature physically, we want to help them grow and mature spiritually as well. To accomplish this task, we teach our students to Know Christ, Love Christ, and Serve Christ.
Know Christ
Our desire is to give our students something of value. We affirm the words of Paul that nothing compares to “the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus” (Phil. 3:8). Our teaching and preaching is aimed at producing a deeper knowledge of Christ and not a simple moral adjustment.
Love Christ
We realize that many students have a developed head-knowledge of Scripture. Our goal is that their increase of knowledge about Christ is matched by a passionate pursuit of Christ. It is our intention as leaders of the student ministries to present Christ as the supreme treasure in our teaching and through our lifestyle.
Serve Christ
The God-ordained methods of serving Christ are evangelism and discipleship. Our vision is that the students of Bethany Bible Church will take their knowledge of and love for Christ and share them with those in need of the truth of God, both saved and unsaved. We further support the students in using their God-given talents and abilities for the strengthening and encouragement of the church.
Pursuing Joy-Filled Fellowship
Although our primary pursuit is cherishing Christ through Scripture, we also enjoy fellowship together. We believe that God is the author of joy, and therefore, our student ministries include times of genuinely Christ-exalting, fun-filled fellowship. Our activities and game times, although they are not central, are a part of our mission to create unity and build bridges for Christ-centered conversations and teaching.
